Illinois has a number of statewide education organizations serving students and institutions in areas related to online learning and technology in education.

Illinois Online Network (ION)
ION is a faculty development initiative that provides comprehensive professional development opportunities in the area of online teaching and learning to faculty and staff from higher education institutions in Illinois and beyond.

Network of Illinois Learning Resources in Community Colleges (NILRC)
NILRC is a learning resources cooperative for community colleges that enhances the services provided by post secondary learning resource centers/libraries and alternative delivery programs at institutions.

Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI)
CARLI is a membership organization providing library services and E-resources brokering to institutions recognized by the Illinois Board of Higher Education and that are an ILLINET member.

Illinois Green Economy Network (IGEN)
IGEN is a network of Illinois community colleges developing partnerships with each other, with local employers and within their communities to stimulate the state's green economy.

Illinois Century Network (ICN)
ICN is a telecommunications backbone providing high speed access to data, video, and audio communication in schools and libraries, at colleges and universities, to public libraries and museums, and for local government and state agencies.

Illinois Virtual School (IVS)
IVS provides online courses to students in grades 5 - 12 and also professional development opportunities to Illinois educators.
